The state of Illinois is ranked fourth in the nation for the most Fortune 500 company headquarters. The campus’ close proximity to Chicago and St. Louis offers students access to two of the largest cities in the US as well as many professional opportunities. Illinois State holds career fairs every year giving students the opportunity to network with employers in the area. 

On the weekend you can take a short two-hour drive to the bustling city of Chicago. This popular Midwestern hub is one of the biggest in the US, boasting various restaurants, entertainment venues and urban parks. Take a stroll around the quirky art installations of Millennium Park and you will quickly catch the lively energy of the city that attracts people from around the world.
