How to Confirm Your Place

Congratulations! We are excited to welcome you to The University of Alabama at Birmingham.

To reserve your place in your program and to receive your I-20 for your student visa application, please complete the following steps:

Step 1:

Please print, sign and date the acceptance form. Need another copy? Please email intoadmissions@uab.edu.

Step 2:

Scan and email the completed acceptance form to intoadmissions@uab.edu as a PDF file.

Step 3:

Submit the financial documents and any other documents/information that is listed in the offer email 

    *Sponsored students: Please submit your Financial Guarantee.

    Step 4:

     Create your BlazerID. Your B Number will be sent to you in an email from chooseuab@uab.edu. Once you receive you will need to create a BlazerID

    • Click on the third option, "I am a current student, or I am a student who has been accepted to UAB." 
    • Enter your B number and date of birth in the format month, day, and year (mmddyyyy or mm/dd/yyyy)
    • Please remember to choose a BlazerID that is professional. Your BlazerID cannot be changed once this registration is complete, so please select very carefully. 
    • It may take up to 24 hours for your new BlazerID to become active across all systems on campus and before you can complete any other steps on your checklist. 

    Step 5:

    You are almost done! Now that you have your BlazerID, please follow the next steps listed here to complete the final confirmation steps.
