Graduate Pathway in Civil or Environmental Engineering

An INTO USF Graduate Pathway program in Civil or Environmental Engineering will prepare you to enter your next semester of a master's degree program at University of South Florida. After successfully completing the Pathway program, you are guaranteed to enter your next semester of study. This transition to university from an INTO program is called progression.

Additional Entry Requirements: Environmental or Water Resources Engineering - Completed one semester of college level chemistry, introduction to environmental engineering, water and wastewater treatment, fluid mechanics and hydraulic systems; Geotechnical Engineering - Completed one semester of college level mechanics (statics and dynamics), mechanics of materials, fluid mechanics, structural engineering and geotechnical engineering; Materials Engineering - Completed college level Chemistry, Statics, Mechanics of Materials, Materials Engineering I; Structural Engineering - Completed Concepts of Concrete Design and its pre-requisites (Statics, Dynamics, Mechanics of Materials, Structures I). Concepts of Steel Design and a knowledge of Soil Mechanics would also be useful; Transportation Engineering - Completed one semester of college level transportation engineering, statistics and computer numerical methods.
